NEWS: If you or your friends have had a hard (impossible) time seeing these pages, rejoice! I found the error that was keeping things from showing up in Firefox and some of the other standards compliance demanding browsers.
This page was motivated by the fact that I live very near the county line between Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. Very few AA meetings provide printed schedules for meetings outside of their own intergroup area, and hopping between different web sites is a bother.
In the future I want to add other Bay Area AA meetings to this list. I also have features in mind to make this list more useful by adding various sorting, navigation and display options. (Just Santa Clara and San Mateo counties have around 900 meetings.) While there's not much invention involved, it will take time. I hope what I have for now is at least somewhat useful.
Since different schedules use different formats, I have a program that attempts to convert everything to Microsoft Excel® "Comma Separated Value" format like the file that the Santa Clara County Intergroup provides on their website. There are enough differences in listing styles so that a perfect translation isn't possible. And while I've been able to program around some ideosyncracies, there's only so much I can do with spelling errors and inconsistent address representations. From all that, another program creates this page from the CSV intermediate representation
If you find this useful, please pass it on to your friends, sponsees, and so on. I doubt I'll ever get so much traffic that it will be a problem with my service provider.
Meeting data is gathered daily from the following sources:
